   Yarn and knit

   Cables are knitted on flatbed machines, and the gauge decides the look: 7 gauge gives a chunky, textured cable, while 12 gauge gives a finer, smoother one. The standard yarn is acrylic, which keeps the price friendly and care easy. For a more natural handle, the sweater can be quoted in lambswool or an acrylic-wool blend; the exact composition is stated on the quote and the care label.

   Customization and branding

   Cable layout, gauge and yarn can be adjusted to your design. Branding on cable knits usually stays discreet: a small knitted or embroidered logo, a leather-look or woven patch, or a woven neck label. Hang tags and retail packing finish the order, and Mr Balaclava’s name never appears on your products.

   Sizes and fit

   The sweater is cut to a regular fit as standard, and a relaxed fit suits the chunkier 7-gauge version. Adult sizes run from XS to 3XL, and kids sizes of about 4–14 years can be made in the same cable design. The sweater can also be graded to your own size chart.
