Buyer's guide

Ski pants or bibs?

Waist-height ski pants are the most common and easiest to wear. Bib pants extend up to the chest and are held by braces, so no snow gets in at the waist, even in deep powder or a fall; they suit freeride skiers and kids. Pants with removable braces sit between the two.

The details that matter most are on the inside: snow gaiters that seal over the boot, kick patches of tough nylon oxford where ski edges hit the inner cuff, and a reinforced seat for lifts and breaks. A slim, stretch woven pant suits fashion ranges; a relaxed fit suits freestyle skiers and snowboard wear.

Ski suits

One-piece suit or two-piece set?

A one-piece ski suit has no gap at the waist, so it is the warmest and most snow-proof option. It is the standard for small children and a strong fashion statement for adults, often with a belted waist and a retro print. A two-piece set is a jacket and pants cut from the same fabric lot, so they match exactly while staying flexible to wear and to size.

For both, the shell, insulation and waterproofing are the same as for our ski jackets and the ski pants on this page. Two-piece sets can be ordered in different jacket and pant size splits.

Kids' snowsuits and ski pants

Snowsuits and ski pants for children

Children get cold faster than adults, spend more time sitting and kneeling in the snow and are harder on their clothes. Kids' ski wear therefore needs warm insulation, a good waterproof rating with taped seams, and reinforcements at the knees, seat and cuffs. For small children a one-piece snowsuit is the warmest and simplest option.

Softshell and snowboard pants

Pants for touring and for riding

Softshell ski pants are stretchy, breathable and wind-resistant, made for ski touring, spring days and high-output skiing; they are water-repellent rather than fully waterproof unless they have a membrane and taped seams. Snowboard pants are cut looser, with a reinforced seat and knees for riders who sit and kneel in the snow, and are often rated 15K or 20K.

FAQ

Ski pants and ski suits: frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order for ski pants and suits?

The minimum order is 50 pieces per design.

What are kick patches?

Kick patches are panels of tough nylon oxford on the inner cuffs, where ski edges and boot buckles rub. They stop the shell from being cut through.

Should we offer bib pants?

Bibs keep snow out better and suit deep snow, freeride and kids; waist pants are easier to wear and cost less. Many ranges offer both.

One-piece ski suit or two-piece set?

A one-piece suit has no gap at the waist, so it is the warmest and most snow-proof option and the standard for small children. A two-piece set is a jacket and pants cut from the same fabric lot: it matches exactly and is easier to wear and to size.

Can jackets and pants in a set be ordered in different sizes?

Yes. We make jacket and pant sizes as you split them in the order, so each wearer gets the right fit.

Can a ski suit be printed?

Yes. Polyester shells can carry an all-over print from your artwork, printed before the fabric is coated or laminated, so the rating is not affected.

Who tests the waterproof rating?

The rating comes from the fabric mill's specification, and independent lab testing is available on request. You can also test the fabric or a sample at any lab you choose, against the specification we agree.

Can you make matching jackets?

Yes. Jackets and pants can be cut from the same fabric lot so the colours match exactly, and sold separately or as a set.

How long does ski pant and suit production take?

Standard production lead time is approximately 14 days after sample approval. Actual lead time depends on the product, quantity, customization and material availability, and the confirmed schedule is agreed for each order. Express shipping by DHL, FedEx or UPS then takes 3–6 working days.
