Buyer's guide

What makes snowboard wear different

Snowboarders spend more time sitting and kneeling in the snow than skiers, and move in a wider stance. Their jackets are longer to cover the seat and have a powder skirt; their pants are looser, with reinforced seat and knees. Because of the time spent in the snow, 15K or 20K ratings with fully taped seams are common.

The look matters as much as the function: relaxed cuts, anoraks and cargo pockets come from streetwear. For the rider's face and head, see our ski masks and balaclavas.

FAQ

Snowboard wear: frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order for snowboard jackets and pants?

The minimum order is 50 pieces per design.

What is the difference between a snowboard jacket and a ski jacket?

A snowboard jacket is longer and looser, with a powder skirt and more room for layers. Ski jackets are usually shorter and closer-fitting.

Which waterproof rating suits snowboard wear?

Riders sit and kneel in the snow, so 15K or 20K with fully taped seams is a common choice, especially for pants.

Who tests the waterproof rating?

The rating comes from the fabric mill's specification, and independent lab testing is available on request. You can also test the fabric or a sample at any lab you choose, against the specification we agree.

Do you make snowboard bibs?

Yes. We make snowboard pants and bibs with a reinforced seat and knees, in the same fabrics and ratings as our snowboard jackets.

How long does snowboard wear production take?

Standard production lead time is approximately 14 days after sample approval. Actual lead time depends on the product, quantity, customization and material availability, and the confirmed schedule is agreed for each order. Express shipping by DHL, FedEx or UPS then takes 3–6 working days.
