Waterproofing

Waterproof ratings from 5K to 20K

We make ski wear in four waterproof ratings. The number is the water column, in millimetres, that the fabric holds back in a hydrostatic head test. Ratings come from the fabric mill's specification, independent lab testing is available on request, and every waterproof garment can have fully taped seams.

FAQ

Custom ski wear manufacturing: frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order for custom ski wear?

The minimum order is 50 pieces per design, for jackets, pants, suits, fleece and base layers alike.

How long does ski wear production take?

Standard production lead time is approximately 14 days after sample approval. Actual lead time depends on the product, quantity, customization, material availability and sampling, and the confirmed schedule is agreed for each order. Express shipping by DHL, FedEx or UPS then takes 3–6 working days.

Do you make the ski wear yourselves?

Yes. Ski jackets, pants, suits, softshells, fleece and base layers are cut, sewn, seam-taped, finished, inspected and packed in our own factory in Sialkot, Pakistan.

Which ski wear categories do you manufacture?

Four categories: ski jackets (padded, puffer, hardshell, softshell and snowboard), ski pants and suits (pants, bibs, one-piece suits and two-piece sets), base and mid layers (merino and polyester base layers and fleece) and ski accessories (ski masks and balaclavas, ski socks and helmet-friendly beanies).

Which waterproof ratings can you make?

We make waterproof ski wear rated 5K, 10K, 15K or 20K (5,000 to 20,000 mm), using a PU coating or a 2-layer, 2.5-layer or 3-layer laminate. 10K suits most resort skiing; 15K and 20K are for wet snow, long days outdoors and snowboard wear.

Who tests the waterproof rating?

Waterproof ratings come from the fabric mill's specification, and independent lab testing is available on request. You are also welcome to test the fabric or a sample at any lab you choose, against the specification we agree.

Are the seams taped?

Yes. We offer fully taped seams: every seam is sealed with waterproof tape on the inside, so the garment is as waterproof as its fabric.

Which insulation do you use?

Polyester wadding is our standard insulation, in a weight set for each style, and polyester fibre fill is used for puffer styles. Both stay warm when damp and wash easily.

Which sizes can you make?

All sizes: men's, women's, unisex and kids', graded to your own size chart. Jackets and pants in a set can be ordered in different size splits.

What is the difference between a pre-paid sample and a pre-production sample?

A pre-paid (physical) sample is a real piece you receive and check in your hands; it is paid before production, made in about 5 to 7 days and then shipped to you. A pre-production sample is free: we make it after your order and the 30 % advance payment, and you approve it on photos, videos or a video call before the bulk production starts.

What are the payment terms?

For bulk orders: 30% advance payment to confirm the order and begin production, 30% during production after you have reviewed the work-in-progress update, and the final 40% after the goods have passed quality control and are ready for shipment. Samples require 100% payment in advance.

Do you ship ski wear worldwide?

Yes. Every order ships with tracking. Express delivery by DHL, FedEx or UPS takes 3–6 working days, and larger orders can travel by air or sea freight. Shipping is priced by the weight of your order: up to 100 kg it travels door to door by express courier with import duties paid by us, and heavier orders go by air cargo, or by sea cargo from 500 kg, to your nearest airport or port.
