How your design gets onto the scarf

A scarf design is printed on the fabric, knitted into it or added afterwards. We recommend the method that suits your fabric, artwork and quantity, and show the result in a sample before bulk production.

FAQ

Custom scarf manufacturing: frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order for custom scarves?

The minimum order is 50 pieces per design, with a monthly capacity of around 100,000 pieces for larger runs.

How long does scarf production take?

Standard production lead time is approximately 14 days after sample approval; 7 days is possible on request, and complex products or very large orders (100,000–200,000 pcs) can take up to one month. The confirmed schedule is agreed for each order. Express shipping by DHL, FedEx or UPS then takes 3–6 working days.

What is the difference between a pre-paid sample and a pre-production sample?

A pre-paid (physical) sample is a real piece you receive and check in your hands; it is paid before production, made in about 5 to 7 days and then shipped to you. A pre-production sample is free: we make it after your order and the 30 % advance payment, and you approve it on photos, videos or a video call before the bulk production starts.

Which scarf categories do you make?

Seven: knitted scarves, football scarves, silk scarves, printed scarves, bandanas, neckerchiefs and hijabs. Each has its own page and its own section in our B2B catalog.

Do you knit or weave the scarves yourselves?

We knit acrylic, wool, merino and cashmere scarves, including jacquard fan scarves, on our own flatbed knitting machines. Woven fabrics such as silk, linen, chiffon, satin, viscose and polyester come from partner mills; we cut, print, hem, brand, inspect and pack every scarf in our factory in Sialkot.

Which printing methods do you offer?

Digital printing for detailed, multicolour artwork, rotary and flat screen printing for repeats and bold colours, sublimation for polyester, and heat transfer for logos. Knitted scarves carry their pattern in the knit as jacquard. We recommend the method that suits your fabric, design and quantity.

Which materials can you use for scarves?

Silk (mulberry silk twill, habotai, satin, chiffon and georgette), cashmere and cashmere blends, pashmina, alpaca, wool and merino, acrylic, linen, cotton, viscose and modal, velvet, fleece and polyester, including recycled polyester.

Which sizes can you make?

Any size to your specification. Common sizes are 50 × 50, 70 × 70 and 90 × 90 cm squares, 30 × 180 cm winter scarves, 70 × 180 cm and 100 × 200 cm oblong scarves and hijabs, and fan scarves of about 17–20 × 145–150 cm.

How are the edges finished?

Silk and satin squares get hand-rolled or machine-rolled hems. Other woven scarves get narrow hems, overlocked edges, twisted fringes or tassels. Knitted scarves have self-finished edges, with fringes or tassels at the ends if you want them.

Can you add my logo and labels?

Yes. We sew in woven, satin or printed labels, print or embroider logos, knit them into jacquard scarves, and add hang tags and branded packaging. Your brand goes on the product and the packaging; Mr Balaclava's name does not appear.

What certifications does Mr Balaclava have?

Eco Jersey Limited, which powers Mr Balaclava, is ISO 9001 certified and a Sedex member; copies of the certificate and the membership details go to customers with an order history or a substantial order. Fabrics and yarns can be sourced from OEKO-TEX® certified mills, and the mill's certificate is available on request.

Do you ship scarf orders worldwide?

Yes. Every order ships with tracking. Express delivery by DHL, FedEx or UPS takes 3–6 working days, and larger orders can travel by air or sea freight. Shipping is priced by the weight of your order: up to 100 kg it travels door to door by express courier with import duties paid by us, and heavier orders go by air cargo, or by sea cargo from 500 kg, to your nearest airport or port.
