Buyer's guide

What makes a good uniform neckerchief?

A uniform neckerchief is worn every day and washed often, so it has to keep its colour, its shape and its knot. Polyester silk-touch twill and polyester satin are the usual choices: they print brand colours brightly, resist creasing and are easy to care for. Silk twill is chosen for premium uniforms and hospitality.

Size decides how the neckerchief ties. Small squares of about 50 × 50 cm tie as a neat knot; larger squares and triangles give a fuller bow or drape. We sample the size with your knot before production, so every member of staff wears it the same way.

Triangle scarves

Where triangle scarves fit in a range

Cutting the scarf as a triangle removes the bulk of a folded square, so it ties neatly and lies flat. Small triangles work as neckerchiefs and head kerchiefs; large triangles are worn as shawls or as hijabs that need no folding.

Light cotton, viscose and chiffon suit summer and modest wear; wool and fleece blends turn the triangle into a warm winter scarf.

Yes. We match colours to your brand references and confirm them in a sample before production, so every order in a uniform programme stays consistent.

FAQ

Neckerchiefs: frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order for neckerchiefs?

The minimum order is 50 pieces per design. Larger runs are made on the same lines, with a monthly capacity of around 100,000 pieces.

Which fabric is best for uniform neckerchiefs?

Polyester satin is the most common: it is durable, easy to wash and prints brand colours brightly. Silk twill is chosen for premium uniforms.

What is the difference between a bandana and a neckerchief?

A bandana is a square, usually printed cotton, worn many ways. A neckerchief is a smaller, neater scarf tied at the neck, often in polyester twill or silk, and is the usual choice for uniforms.

What size is a neckerchief?

Most uniform neckerchiefs are squares of about 50 × 50 to 70 × 70 cm, or triangles cut from them. We sample the size with the knot your staff will wear and make any size you specify.

Are triangle scarves cut or folded?

Both are possible. A cut triangle has hemmed edges and less bulk; a folded square gives a double layer. We recommend a cut triangle for prints designed for the shape.

How long does neckerchief production take?

Standard production lead time is approximately 14 days after sample approval. Actual lead time depends on the product, quantity, customization and material availability, and the confirmed schedule is agreed for each order. Express shipping by DHL, FedEx or UPS then takes 3–6 working days.
