Quotes and payments
What does a quotation include?
Short answer
Your quotation lists each item with its quantity, unit price and total, any extra charges such as sampling, packaging or shipping, the total in the quotation currency, the commercial terms, a recap of your request and the date until which it is valid.
A quotation is our written offer for your order. A person on our team prepares it from your brief, and it confirms the price and the terms before anything is made. No payment is needed to request one.
What you will find on it
- Header: quotation number, revision, date and Valid until date.
- Prepared for and Subject: who the offer is for and what it covers.
- Items: each product with its quantity, unit price and total.
- Charges: extra lines such as setup or customisation, sampling, packaging and shipping, each on its own line.
- Totals: subtotal, any discount, charges, tax where it applies, and the total in the quotation currency.
- Commercial terms: lead time, payment terms, shipping and notes for your order.
- Your request: a recap of the sample, the design stage and the options you chose.
Sample and shipping lines
- Sample: if you chose a pre-paid (physical) sample, it has its own line, Sampling: Pre-paid physical sample. The pre-production sample is free. See Which sample do I need?
- Shipping: where shown, Shipping: Shipping, per piece is our shipping cost per piece to the address you gave. You are free to arrange shipping yourself instead.
How the price is built
Prices are per piece. They depend on the fabric, the construction, the branding techniques, the packaging and the quantity, and the price per piece falls as the quantity grows: see How do quantity prices work?
The branding, labels and packaging specified for your order are included in the price. Extra placements, techniques or packaging are quoted as options, so you can compare.
Details that depend on the mill, such as the exact fabric weight (GSM), are confirmed in the quotation. If a fabric or colour choice changes the minimum for your order, the quotation tells you. Anything not listed on the quotation is not included in the price.
Shipping and rush options
Shipping is priced by the weight of your order: up to 100 kg it travels door to door by express courier with import duties paid by us, and heavier orders go by air cargo, or by sea cargo from 500 kg, to your nearest airport or port. If you ask for rush production, the quotation shows the standard and the rush option side by side.
How you receive it
We send your quotation by email with a PDF copy. If you wrote to us in French, German or Spanish, a translated copy for reading is attached too; the English PDF is the binding version.
The email also has a View and accept online button. It opens the quotation in your browser, with its status and the full terms, where you can download, accept or decline it, or send us a question: see How do I view and accept a quotation online?
If you have an account, the quotation also appears in My Account → Quotations, with its earlier revisions, Download PDF and, for French, German and Spanish buyers, the translated copy.
The Order Builder is not a quotation. It shows the price per piece, any set-up charges and the Total (shipping not included); caps and hats, socks and ski wear show "Price on request". To receive a quotation for your configuration, choose Get a quotation at the end of the builder.
Tip: Before you accept, check the quantities, sizes, colours, branding and delivery details. If anything is unclear, ask us first.
