Shipping and delivery
Who pays customs duties and import taxes?
Short answer
Courier shipments up to 100 kg are delivered duty paid: we clear customs and pay the import duties and taxes. For air and sea cargo, over 100 kg, you clear customs and pay the duties and taxes in your country.
It depends on the weight of your order, because the weight decides how it travels.
Up to 100 kg: duties paid by us
Courier shipments are delivered duty paid (DDP). We handle customs clearance and pay the import duties and taxes, so the goods arrive with nothing to pay.
Over 100 kg: you clear customs
Air cargo, and sea cargo from 500 kg, travel to your nearest airport or port. You clear customs there and pay the customs duties, VAT and import taxes of your country, often through a customs broker or forwarder. These charges are not included in our prices, and our responsibility ends when the goods arrive.
If we ship on your own DHL, FedEx or UPS account, you handle duties directly with the courier.
Customs documents
Each shipment travels with a commercial invoice and a packing list. The HS code of each product is on the invoice. A certificate of origin is available on request.
Before you order
Import rules and rates depend on your country. For a cargo shipment, ask your customs broker or forwarder what applies to your goods before they arrive.
