What defines a dad cap?
A dad cap is defined by what it leaves out. There is no buckram in the front panels, the crown is lower than on a baseball cap, and the peak is pre-curved so the cap sits close and soft on the head. The look is relaxed and understated, which is why small, tone-on-tone logos work better on it than large graphics.
Fabric treatment matters more than on any other cap. Washed and garment-dyed cotton gives the worn-in feel buyers expect, so we test the wash on a sample. A strap in fabric with a metal buckle or slide is the classic closure.

Dad caps: frequently asked questions
What is the minimum order for dad caps?
The minimum order is 50 pieces per design.
Can a dad cap have a structured front?
It can, but then it becomes a baseball cap. A true dad cap has an unstructured, unlined front panel. If you want a firm front with a relaxed shape, ask us for a light interlining.
Which logo size works best on a dad cap?
Small to medium logos, usually 5 to 8 cm wide, sit best on the soft front panel. Very dense embroidery can pucker an unstructured cap, so we adjust stitch density and use backing on the sample.
Do you wash the caps before shipping?
Yes, if you specify a wash. Garment and enzyme washes are done in bulk after sewing, and we approve the result on the sample first.
How long does production of dad caps take?
Standard production lead time is approximately 14 days after sample approval. Actual lead time depends on the product, quantity, customization and material availability, and the confirmed schedule is agreed for each order. Express shipping by DHL, FedEx or UPS then takes 3–6 working days.
