Buyer's guide

Why choose a wool beanie?

Wool traps air in its crimped fibres, so it insulates well, and it can absorb moisture from the air without feeling wet. Merino is a finer wool that feels soft next to the skin and suits premium and sports ranges. Wool blends add the durability and easy care of acrylic or nylon at a lower price.

Pure wool can feel scratchy on the forehead, so many buyers add a soft lining or choose merino. See our fabric notes on merino wool and wool blends.

FAQ

Wool beanies: frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order for wool beanies?

The minimum order is 50 pieces per design. Larger runs are made on the same lines, with a monthly capacity of around 100,000 pieces.

Is merino better than regular wool for beanies?

Merino fibres are finer, so merino feels softer, does not itch and regulates temperature well during activity. Regular wool is warmer for its price and has a more rustic look.

Will a wool beanie itch?

Pure wool can feel scratchy on sensitive skin. Merino, a wool blend, or a fleece, cotton or satin lining solves this.

Can you make 100% wool beanies?

Yes. We make pure wool, merino and wool-blend beanies, and confirm the exact composition in your quote and on the care label.

How long does wool beanie production take?

Standard production lead time is approximately 14 days after sample approval. Actual lead time depends on the product, quantity, customization and material availability, and the confirmed schedule is agreed for each order. Express shipping by DHL, FedEx or UPS then takes 3–6 working days.
