Buyer's guide
What is a ponytail beanie?
A ponytail beanie, also called a messy bun beanie, is a beanie with a hole in the crown for the hair. The wearer keeps their hair up and the beanie still sits low over the ears, which a normal beanie cannot do.
The opening needs a clean, stretchy edge so it does not fray or pull the hair. We knit it in or bind it, and position it for a ponytail at the back or a bun on top. For active use, see our sports beanies.

FAQ
Ponytail beanies: frequently asked questions
What is the minimum order for ponytail beanies?
The minimum order is 50 pieces per design. Larger runs are made on the same lines, with a monthly capacity of around 100,000 pieces.
Where is the opening on a ponytail beanie?
At the back of the crown for a ponytail, or on top for a bun. We position and size it to your design and confirm it in the sample.
Will the opening stretch out or fray?
No. The opening is finished with a knitted, bound or elastic edge, so it keeps its shape and does not fray.
Can ponytail beanies be made for running?
Yes. We knit them in fine gauges from merino or moisture-wicking yarns, which keep the head warm without overheating.
How long does ponytail beanie production take?
Standard production lead time is approximately 14 days after sample approval. Actual lead time depends on the product, quantity, customization and material availability, and the confirmed schedule is agreed for each order. Express shipping by DHL, FedEx or UPS then takes 3–6 working days.
