Case Study
Project Overview
Mr Balaclava partnered with a European clothing brand to manufacture a knitted print balaclava. Specifically, the brand wanted a bold three-hole design with a printed graphic face motif. Furthermore, this graphic needed to print cleanly in four separate colorways. Additionally, it needed consistent quality across the full 2000-piece order.
The project required sharp, accurate print registration on a textured acrylic knit surface. Consequently, our team tested ink adhesion on each colorway before starting bulk production. As a result, we protected print clarity across every unit.
We used our in-house knitting, printing, and quality control setup for this project. Therefore, we completed the full order within three weeks. Ultimately, the finished pieces shipped out right on schedule.
The Challenge
The client, a European clothing brand, needed a printed knit balaclava at real production volume. Therefore, the project involved manufacturing 2000 pieces using acrylic yarn. Moreover, this had to happen within a tight three-week schedule.
Keeping the graphic sharp across four separate print colorways created a genuine production challenge. Additionally, the textured knit surface needed careful ink control to avoid bleeding. Therefore, our team adjusted print settings for each colorway.
Our Solution
Our production team first tested print adhesion on the acrylic knit for each colorway. Then, after confirming the settings, we moved into bulk knitting and printing. Consequently, every unit matched the approved sample.
Throughout production, inline inspections tracked print sharpness, color accuracy, and knit quality at each stage. Subsequently, every balaclava passed final inspection before packing. As a result, the finish stayed consistent across the order.
Ultimately, we completed the project within the agreed three-week schedule. Consequently, the order shipped fully inspected and ready.
Detailed Result
The finished balaclavas delivered a bold, sharp graphic print across all four colorways. Meanwhile, the acrylic knit held its shape and structure. Therefore, every unit shared the same consistent, striking look.
Every unit passed final quality inspection with consistent print clarity and clean packaging. As a result, the shipment reached the client ready for retail distribution. Ultimately, the brand received the full order on time.
