By the Mr Balaclava team · Updated 2026-10-06 Short answer Bulk orders: 30% advance payment to confirm the order and begin production. 30% during production after the customer has reviewed the work-in-progress update. Final 40% after the goods have passed quality control and are ready for shipment. Pre-paid (physical) samples require 100% payment in advance; pre-production samples are free. Commercial payment, production and shipping terms are confirmed in your quotation or order agreement. No payment is taken when you request a quote. ## Bulk orders 30% advance payment to confirm the order and begin production. 30% during production after the customer has reviewed the work-in-progress update. Final 40% after the goods have passed quality control and are ready for shipment. During production, your account manager sends photo and video updates by email or WhatsApp. The second payment is due after you have reviewed this work-in-progress update. See [How will I know how my order is progressing?](/help/production-updates/) Before the final payment, every finished piece is inspected and the goods are packed, and you receive batch photos. After the final payment, the courier collects the goods and we email you the tracking number. ## Samples Pre-paid (physical) samples require 100% payment in advance; pre-production samples are free. A pre-paid (physical) sample is shown as its own line on your quotation. See [How much does a sample cost and how do I pay?](/help/sample-cost/) ## Invoices Each payment is invoiced. We email you the invoice as a PDF, in English. An invoice is due 2 days after it is issued. Your invoices are also in **My Account → Invoices & payments**, marked **To pay** or **Paid**. ## Where to pay Pay only to the bank account stated on your quotation or invoice. Which payment methods you can use is explained in [Which payment methods can I use?](/help/payment-methods/) If you order with the Order Builder, choose **Bank transfer** when you place the order. We email you the invoice for the 30% advance with our payment details, and your order is confirmed when the advance arrives. Card payment is not available yet. See [Order online and pay the advance](/help/pay-online/). If you receive payment details that differ, or a message asking you to change them, contact us before you pay.
