By the Mr Balaclava team · Updated 2026-10-06 Short answer Your quotation sets out the price and the commercial payment, production and shipping terms. Once you accept it and approve the details, you make the 30% advance payment to confirm the order and begin production. Your order is confirmed in writing and with the first payment. Nothing is produced before you have agreed the details. 1. **Quotation.** We send you a quotation by email. The commercial payment, production and shipping terms are confirmed in your quotation or order agreement. 2. **Questions and changes.** Ask us anything or request changes, and we revise the quotation. 3. **Mockup.** For custom products, you approve the mockup. A pre-paid physical sample is made and approved before you confirm; a free pre-production sample is made after step 5 and approved on photos, videos or a video call. Bulk production starts only after the sample is approved. See [Which sample do I need?](/help/sample-types/) 4. **Your acceptance.** Accept the quotation in writing, for example by replying to the quotation email. If you use purchase order numbers, add yours. 5. **Advance payment.** When our team sets up your order, we email you that it is confirmed and send you the invoice for the 30% advance payment. The invoice is due 2 days after it is issued; pay to the bank account stated on it. A confirmed order cannot be cancelled. 6. **Production schedule.** The confirmed production schedule is agreed with you for your order. Nothing is charged automatically when you accept a quotation; our team confirms the next steps with you. ## Accept online The quotation email has a **View and accept online** button. Open it and click **Accept quotation**. Accepting sends no email; our team then confirms the next steps with you. See [How do I view and accept a quotation online?](/help/view-and-accept-quote/) With a customer account, you also find your quotations in My Account → **Quotations**. Click **Open and answer**, then **Accept quotation** and **Confirm**. The email link and My Account update the same quotation. ## Orders from the Order Builder An Order Builder order is confirmed when your 30% advance arrives. Click **Order and pay the advance** and choose **Bank transfer**: we email you the invoice for the advance with our payment details. When it is paid, we email you that your order is confirmed. Card payment is not available yet. Production starts only after you approve our mockup. If you want a pre-paid (physical) sample first, choose **Get a quotation** in the builder and tell us. See [Order online and pay the advance](/help/pay-online/). ## Payment terms 30% advance payment to confirm the order and begin production. 30% during production after the customer has reviewed the work-in-progress update. Final 40% after the goods have passed quality control and are ready for shipment. Pre-paid (physical) samples require 100% payment in advance; pre-production samples are free. Pay only to the bank account stated on your quotation or invoice. The confirmed production schedule is agreed with you for each order.
