By the Mr Balaclava team · Updated 2026-10-06 Short answer Our fabrics and yarns come from OEKO-TEX® certified mills, and the mill's certificate for your fabric is available on request. The certificate belongs to the mill; other textile standards such as GOTS or GRS are not claimed for our products. Our fabrics and yarns come from OEKO-TEX® certified mills, and the mill's certificate for your fabric is available on request. Ask for it with your quote, so we can match it to the fabric you choose. ## What the mill certificate covers The OEKO-TEX® certificate belongs to the mill and covers the material it supplies. Mr Balaclava products are not OEKO-TEX® certified as a company. ## Other textile standards - Standards such as GOTS, OCS, GRS, RCS and RWS are not claimed for our products. - A recycled polyester fabric is not automatically GRS certified, and organic cotton is not automatically GOTS certified. - Transaction certificates exist only where the whole supply chain is certified. - For organic or recycled fabrics we can provide the supplier's documentation. Our [Textile Certifications Guide](/materials/textile-certifications/) explains each standard and the rules for putting it on a label. ## Tests on your product - In-house tests: shrinkage and stretch, colourfastness to rubbing and washing, pilling and seam strength. - Third-party lab tests can be arranged on request. Report costs are quoted with the order. - We do not state that a product meets a standard unless a test report for that product says so.
